“I unfortunately had to navigate the confusing world of home health care when my Father became unable to live at home alone due to Parkinson’s and the related dementia. Heather was so helpful in helping our family navigate the system. Unfortunately the wait times for nursing homes is very long. I’m lucky I had my siblings for support but I don’t know how people could even begin to care for an aging parent on their own. I also don’t know how patients that don’t have any Family or friend support manage. Cuts made to Ontario’s health care system are only going to make things worse with our aging population.
